Notions: Quilting sewing machine needles, Buttonhole block and 5/8" wide chisel, Chalk wheel, pencil, air- or water-soluble pen, Point presser/clapper, Collins Point Turner, matching cotton thread, sleeve board (optional), 1/4" Steam-a-Seam 2, silk organza press cloth, liquid seam sealant, beeswax, seam gauge, tailor's ham. Serger recommended for both garments.

Suggested fabrics:

Jacket: Linen, medium-weight cotton solid or print companion fabrics, silk shantung, dupionni, light-weight denim.
Top: Linen, linen blends, Tencel.

Jacket: Very loose fitting, hip or mid thigh length. Accent fabrics recommended for collar, vertical front, hem and sleeve bands. Long drop shoulder sleeves. Top: Pull over style with bias neck binding, long drop shoulder sleeves, hip band with side button accents.
