I made this crib toy as a present for my first niece. The colors are to match the nursery (red, white and blue). The little animals have crystals on them but I didn't think this would be a problem for the baby because this is for her to look at, not chew on. I used wool felt and embroidered each animal twice. The second time I reversed the image. Then I put the two embroideries together and sewed around the animal. I used a pinking shears to cut the animal out.
