Heather's First Prom Dress
Karen Hodge and I consulted by e-mail about using crystals on the prom dress she was making for
her daughter, Heather. She was excited because this was Heather's first prom! I was thrilled to see the results
when she sent this picture. Heather looks beautiful! Karen did an amazing job.

I wanted to send you a picture of the results of our hard work! Here's
Heather's prom dress showcasing your beautiful embroidery design and
crystals.
Details on the dress:
Pink/Cream Cross-Dyed Silk Dupioni
Underlined in cream silk organza
Underskirt of sparkle pink organza
Lined with hand-dyed silk habotai
Foundation layer in a firm cotton poplin with boning for the bodice;
rayon/linen blend for the skirt.
The embroidery was done using your Delicate Garden Designs
sewn with YLI's Reflections in Pink. I used your pink
Swarovski heat-set crystals for the centers of the flowers.
I reduced the size of the embroidery design to 75% of the original--just
because it looked a bit nicer with the scale of the dress. The 10 crystals
JUST fit.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your help. I made many mistakes on
this dress, but Heather felt like a princess--and that's all that matters to
me.
