The Athena Two is a variation of La Fred's popular Athena Blouse pattern. This moderately fitted blouse features a wing collar with a unique square aremhole and a pleated sleeve hem in a long-sleeved and short sleeeved version. The pleated hem is optional in the short-sleeved version. The blouse is fitted with darts in the front and the back, and features a pointed weskit bottom in the front. It is meant to be worn outside a skirt or pants instead of tucked in. The Athena Two pattern includes instructions for enlarging for sizes larger than XXL, as well as enlarging through the bust only. You'll want to add this elegant blouse to your collection right away! |

View A, a mid-calf bias-cut skirt features three tiers at the bottom, each with raw edges. The front is cut higher, sweeping elegantly to the longer back. This version can be constructed in either a single layer or with sheer overlays. View B is an eight-gore flared skirt, with an opaque underskirt and a draped overlay. The overlay has loops sewn into the seams, through which cords or bias tubes have been threaded. The cords are pulled up to create a swag effect.

This loose-fitting, pullover blouse has a wing collar, an upper bodice cut all-in-one with the sleeve, and a seam across the bust. View A features long sleeves; View B features shorter sleeves to the elbow. The lower bodice is cut on the bias, flares out slightly from the seam to the hip, and features top stitching at the wide center front seam. |

This very loose-fiting cape is constructed from two trapazoid-shaped pieces, sewn together at the shoulders. The Fronts and Backs are attached by sewing a rectangle through both layers of fabric, several inches down from the bottom of the shoulder seam, to form a basic sleeve. |

This semi-fitted high-hip length jacket features princess seams, with the front panel extending into a small pocket
at the horizontal sema line. The two-piece set-in sleeves are bracelet length with angled cuffs. The jacket has
a convertible collar. View A features the front buttoned all the wway to the top for a Peter Pan effect. View B
shows the two top buttons undone, which creates the look of a notched collard. The Maia Jacket is lined.

This versatile skirt comes in two versions, each with a mid-calf or slightly below the knee length. All skirts
feature an angled pocket at the hip and a zipper at the center back. Views A (long) and B (short) are 4-gore skirts,
with a flare at the bottom. These flared skirts can be cut on either the straight of the grain or on the bias.
Views C (long) and D (short) are straight skirts with a long vent at the center back.

These loose-fitting, pull-on, full-legged pants feature front pockets and a large box pleat in front. The outer
fold of the box pleat is formed by buttoning the flat front waistband through two parallel buttonholes. The back
waistband features two channels through which 3/4" wide elastic is threaded.

La Fred produces great patterns. This princess seamed top comes with directions for moving the princess so it's
widest part corresponds with your widest part. She also starts with a C cup under the premise that those with A
and B cups are in the minority. Of course she gives directions to enlarge the C if you need that. Fred works to
produce patterns that work, and work well. This will be great addition to your classic wardrobe. Or, use this as
a jumping off place for your embellishments. |

This very loose-fitting, 3/4 length coat features an attached scarf collar that can be worn in many different
ways. The scarf can be tied in front, worn over the back, or if your fabric looks good on both sides, it can be
worn around the head as a hood. The front closes asymmetrically with 3 buttons. You may choose patch pockets or
in-seam side pockets. The wide sleeves are cut all in one with the bodice and have a deep hem so that you may fold
back a cuff. Lining is optional.
